Head of FP&A

£80,000 | Permanent | National Charity | Fully Remote

Build an FP&A function from the ground up - while shaping the financial strategy of a rapidly growing organisation.

We’re partnering with a high-growth, mission-driven charity to appoint a Head of FP&A into a newly created role. This is a pivotal hire within a newly structured Finance Leadership Team, designed to bring specialist expertise into a function that’s evolving quickly in response to scale, complexity, and major funding opportunities.

You’ll operate at a strategic level - designing forecasting frameworks, influencing major contract decisions, and ensuring finance becomes a true driver of organisational performance. If you’re looking for a role where you can build, lead and influence in equal measure, this is it.

Why this Head of FP&A role will advance your career:

  • Build and own the FP&A function – create the frameworks, systems and structure that will underpin decision-making across the organisation.
  • Influence at the highest level – partner with senior leaders to shape strategy, funding decisions and long-term direction.
  • Lead through complexity and growth – take a capable team to the next level while embedding clarity, accountability and performance.

What you’ll do - and what you’ll gain:

  • Turn insight into action – deliver sharp, commercially focused analysis that directly influences strategic decisions and operational performance.
  • Own high-stakes financial planning – lead forecasting, modelling and scenario planning in a fast-changing funding environment.
  • Shape major bids and income strategy – play a critical role in pricing, cost recovery and contract decision-making.
  • Drive transformation – implement smarter systems, strengthen processes and elevate the impact of FP&A across the organisation.

What you’ll need:

  • A recognised accounting qualification.
  • Strong FP&A experience, including forecasting, modelling and strategic planning.
  • Experience operating at a senior level, influencing decision-making and partnering with stakeholders.
  • A track record of improving processes, systems or financial frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset - knowing when to deliver directly and when to bring in additional expertise.

Location & working pattern:

Fully remote, with occasional in-person meetings as required. Flexible and compressed working options may be available.
