Are you an ambitious finance leader looking for a role that offers genuine influence, variety and the opportunity to shape the future of a finance function?

Reporting into the CEO, as Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting the executive team while leading a small but capable finance team through an exciting period of development and change.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing and mentoring a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Producing high-quality monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial reporting.
  • Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning across the organisation.
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to senior leaders, providing commercial insight and financial challenge.
  • Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external auditors and advisers.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and internal controls.
  • Playing a key role in future finance transformation initiatives, including potential systems development and process improvements.
  • Contributing to organisational strategy as a member of the senior leadership team.

The person

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or significant qualified-by-experience credentials.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a finance team.
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting and financial planning experience.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to build relationships across an organisation.

Why apply?

This role offers far more than a traditional finance position. You'll have the opportunity to shape a finance function, influence strategic decision-making and develop a talented team, all while working within an organisation that genuinely makes a positive impact.

If you're looking for a role where you can broaden your leadership experience, make lasting improvements and enjoy an excellent work-life balance in one of the UK's most beautiful regions, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
