Head Of Finance

Fully Remote Part Time Head of Finance opportunity, with just one day per month at the charity's Yorkshire office.

This is a permanent role in which you will have the opportunity to deliver the finance for an organisation genuinely making a difference.

The Role

• Taking responsibility for the overall financial management of the organisation, overseeing the day-to-day finance function and ensuring key processes run effectively.

• Preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial reports, journals and reconciliations, ensuring information is accurate, timely and reliable.

• Coordinating annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, providing financial analysis to help identify risks, monitor performance and inform future planning.

• Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior management and trustees, providing clear explanations of financial performance and supporting important organisational decisions.

• Reviewing financial procedures and internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate processes are in place.

• Providing leadership and guidance to the finance team, helping establish a consistent approach to financial operations and considering how the function can best support the organisation moving forward.

The Person

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and maintaining effective financial controls.

• A confident communicator who can build effective relationships with senior management and trustees, providing financial information in a clear and accessible way.

• Someone who enjoys improving processes, bringing order to existing arrangements and ensuring the finance function operates efficiently.

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
