£70,000-£80,000 | Permanent | Healthcare Organisation | Hybrid (London)

Take ownership of financial reporting in a complex, fast-moving healthcare environment - while helping shape a finance function through change and growth.

We’re partnering with a leading healthcare organisation to appoint a Financial Reporting Manager into a key role within the finance team. This is a critical hire, reporting into the Head of Finance, and sits at the heart of a function that is balancing operational delivery, systems improvement, and ongoing organisational change.

You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, leading the month-end process, and ensuring strong financial control across the organisation. This is a hands-on role with real influence - combining technical accounting, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, improve processes, and make a visible impact in a supportive but fast-paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity.

Why this Financial Reporting Manager role will advance your career:

Own the financial reporting cycle end-to-end – take responsibility for month-end close, management accounts, and statutory reporting in a complex organisation.

Influence senior stakeholders – work closely with the CFO, Heads of Department, and Trustees, providing clear and insightful financial information.

Lead and develop a small team – manage and support two part-qualified accountants, helping build capability and resilience within the finance function.

Be part of ongoing improvement – contribute to strengthening processes, controls, and reporting quality during a period of operational development.

What you’ll do - and what you’ll gain:

Deliver high-quality financial reporting – prepare profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and monthly management accounts with clear commentary and insight.

Lead core finance processes – oversee month-end close, audit coordination, VAT returns, and UK GAAP compliance.

Partner across the organisation – support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making through meaningful financial analysis.

Drive control and improvement – identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.

Support audit and compliance – act as key point of contact for external auditors and ensure robust financial governance.

What you’ll need:

  • A recognised accounting qualification
  • Strong experience in financial accounting or management accounting roles
  • Experience in healthcare, charity, or wider not-for-profit sectors (desirable)
  • Training background in Top 4 or mid-tier audit (highly desirable)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and Excel skills
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members (preferred)
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders

Location & working pattern:

Hybrid working, with increased office presence during month-end. The office is based in central London.
