Take ownership of a charity’s finance function and ensure every pound supports its mission. You’ll lead year-end accounts, embed robust financial controls, and make sure the charity is compliant, audit-ready, and financially resilient.

What you’ll do day to day:
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and audits – ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and processes – protecting the charity and strengthening governance.
- Oversee reconciliations, fixed assets, and balance sheet integrity.
- Support leadership with financial insight – helping teams understand the charity’s financial position and make better decisions.
- Manage and mentor your small finance team – ensuring high performance and accountability.
What you need:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience in financial accounting, ideally in charities or not-for-profits.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance, and audit processes.
- Leadership experience managing a small team.
- Passion for mission-driven work and attention to detail.

London-based, with flexible hybrid working, combining office and remote days.
