  • Maintaining strong financial controls, reconciliations and compliance across the Group.
  • Ensuring inter-company balances are reconciled and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met.
  • Monitoring team performance against KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Designing and delivering training to support the development of the team.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Deputising for the Financial Controller when required.

This is a role with a genuine strategic improvement focus, where you will be expected to analyse performance, identify opportunities to improve processes and help develop a high-performing transactional finance function.

  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse financial information effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, process improvement and risk management.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.

You do not need to be a fully qualified accountant for this role. The organisation is particularly interested in candidates with strong practical transactional finance management experience, although AAT or equivalent accountancy study would be advantageous.
