Finance Officer
Surrey & Kent | Hybrid working (2 days on site) | £28,000 + excellent benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, purpose-driven organisation supporting a friendly and collaborative finance team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of income and purchase ledger processes, with exposure to a broad range of finance activities and the chance to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
What you’ll do
- Accurately record and allocate incoming income to bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are processed within required timescales
- Review and process rent account amendments, making sure all changes are fully checked and appropriately approved
- Enter, code and manage supplier invoices, including utility costs, ensuring they are processed for payment in line with deadlines
- Assist with preparing payment runs, reconciling supplier statements and monitoring outstanding invoices
- Support the production and raising of sales invoices and internal recharge activities
- Oversee petty cash handling and the distribution/management of gift vouchers
- Provide support across broader finance tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations and ad hoc reporting
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and help improve day-to-day financial processes
- Play an active role in meeting team targets and supporting ongoing process improvements
You’ll be based across two office locations in Surrey and Kent, working closely with both the income and purchase ledger teams, gaining valuable exposure across multiple finance functions.

What you’ll need
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a purchase ledger role
- Familiarity with purchase order systems
- Good Excel skills, with an interest in developing further
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new areas of finance
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- An interest in studying towards a finance qualification would be advantageous
