Finance Officer (Arts & Culture Sector)

London | Hybrid Working (3 Days in Office) | £30,000 + Excellent Benefits

A leading organisation within the UK’s arts and culture sector is looking for a Finance Officer to join its team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their finance career who is looking to build experience within a highly respected and creative environment. Supporting the processing of payments for productions, this role offers exposure to specialist finance operations while also providing broader month-end and transactional finance experience.

What you’ll do

  • Support payment runs, ensuring payments are accurate and made on time
  • Resolve payment queries and discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain payment schedules, databases and shared inbox management
  • Assist with invoice processing, supplier amendments and ledger postings
  • Support month-end processes including expense and credit card reconciliations
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

Person Specification

  • A genuine interest in the arts and theatre sector is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
  • Previous finance or administrative experience would be beneficial
