This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected education provider in East London as a Finance Manager (Term Time Only), going into the office five times per week. You’ll play a key role in ensuring sound financial management across a multi-million-pound budget, supporting senior leaders to make informed decisions and maintain strong financial controls. As the position is term time only, the salary for this role will be pro-rata'd. 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all income and expenditure is processed and tracked correctly
• Oversee key budgets, ensuring funds are used effectively and within agreed limits
• Support departments with budget management and provide regular updates on financial performance
• Process and reconcile income and expenditure, ensuring all transactions are accurate and compliant
• Monitor invoices, contracts, and suppliers to ensure value for money and adherence to financial procedures
• Assist with monthly and termly financial reporting, supporting the senior leadership team and governors with accurate data

Person Specification

• Experience working in the education or wider public sector is essential
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and budget monitoring
• Confident Excel user, comfortable with formulas, data analysis, and reconciliations
• Organised, methodical, and numerically minded with excellent attention to detail
• Team player who communicates well and can build positive relationships across the organisation
• A relevant finance qualification or degree (or working towards one) would be an advantage
