Robertson Bell are recruiting a Finance Manager to join a well-established not-for-profit organisation. This is a broad, hands-on management role leading a small finance team while overseeing the day-to-day running of the transactional finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop a transactional finance team across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Oversee high-volume invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations, and cash management activities
• Provide hands-on support and guidance across the finance function, troubleshooting issues where required
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency
• Support an upcoming finance systems migration and help embed new processes across the team
The successful candidate:
• Proven experience managing a finance function or transactional finance team
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end processes
• Confident people manager with the ability to lead and motivate a varied team
• Process-improvement mindset with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the organisation
• Adaptable and systems-savvy approach, with experience supporting change highly desirable
• Not-for-profit sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential
