Finance Business Partner
£55k to £60k | Permanent | Hybrid – 3 days per week in London
Step into a broad Finance Business Partner role with real influence across an established charity.
We’re partnering with a charity that is going through an exciting period of change, creating an opportunity for a Management Accountant to step into a varied role with plenty of ownership.
This is more than a traditional management accounting position. You’ll take the lead on the upcoming budget process, build strong relationships with budget holders and have the opportunity to influence projects and decisions from the outset.
Why this Finance Business Partner role will advance your career:
- Take ownership from day one – step straight into the upcoming annual budget process and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s financial plans.
- Move beyond the numbers – work closely with budget holders to challenge spend, influence project decisions and ensure finance is involved earlier in the process.
- Make your mark – there’s genuine scope to improve processes, strengthen reporting and potentially play a key role in introducing a new budgeting system.
- Broaden your experience – gain exposure to forecasting, year-end, audit, restricted funds and wider financial projects, while working closely with an experienced senior finance team.
What you'll do:
- Lead the monthly management accounts process, producing insightful analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Partner with budget holders across the organisation, challenging variances and supporting better financial decision-making.
- Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
- Strengthen financial controls and reporting, identifying opportunities to improve how finance operates.
- Support year-end and audit, with the level of involvement tailored to your experience.
- Manage and develop an Assistant Management Accountant.
What you'll bring:
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong management accounting experience, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Confident business partnering skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.
- A proactive approach and willingness to get involved beyond the core remit.
Charity experience would be beneficial but isn't essential - we're open to strong candidates from other sectors who can bring the right technical and business partnering experience.
