Working as part of a central finance function, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial data.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take ownership of key finance processes across a dynamic, multi-entity setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances to ensure integrity of accounts
  • Producing monthly cashflow forecasts to inform investment decisions and maintain healthy liquidity
  • Posting accurate month-end payroll journals and overseeing salary benchmarking across locations
  • Reviewing and booking income and expenditure to maintain up-to-date financial records
  • Leading on accruals, prepayments and deferred income postings for robust month-end close
  • Ensuring funding is correctly recorded and maximised from relevant external sources
  • Supporting statutory and management reporting through clear and reliable data preparation
  • Preparing insightful KPI packs and financial schedules for board-level review
  • Assisting with year-end accounts, audit preparation and ad hoc analysis projects

This Assistant Management Accountant will benefit from joining a highly driven and commercial team. You will be required to be on site five days a week at the head office near Purley and will have access to flexible working hours.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Part or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW or equivalent)
  • Technically proficient with a solid grasp of accountancy principles and double entry bookkeeping
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented and confident working with large and complex datasets
  • A natural problem solver, comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • An effective communicator who builds strong relationships and enjoys being part of a team
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable using financial systems to produce reports and analysis
