We are excited to partner with a well-established organisation supporting disadvantaged people across the UK as they go to market for a Remote Assistant Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. This is a brand-new role, offering exposure to non-complex areas, system projects, and a chance to develop your finance career in a meaningful sector.

In this Assistant Finance Business Partner role you will:

  • Learn to prepare accurate and timely management accounts, developing your ability to analyse variances and provide insightful recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the annual budget-setting process and reforecasting cycles, gaining experience in collaborating with budget holders and understanding how financial plans are built.
  • Develop your technical skills through regular balance sheet reconciliations, investigating anomalies, and assisting with cost allocation journals.
  • Work with non-financial Managers across departments, building your confidence in translating financial information into meaningful insights and guidance.

The successful candidate will benefit from a fully flexible and remote working pattern, study support, generous annual leave starting at 28 days, and exposure to system implementation projects. This is a perfect role for a proactive and ambitious finance professional looking to build strong management accounting experience and progress towards a Finance Business Partner position.

Person Specification:

  • Candidates must be actively studying towards a CCAB qualification or equivalent (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA etc.)
  • Have 1–3 years’ relevant finance experience, including double-entry accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ideally have exposure to management accounting and are keen to develop your knowledge of budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Have excellent communication skills, energy, and a willingness to learn
