London / Hybrid – 3 days in the office, £32,000 - £33,000 per year

What you’ll do

• Manage the day-to-day processing of invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
• Maintain and update customer accounts, including setting up new accounts and ensuring information is current.
• Respond to queries from staff, and external customers regarding accounts and transactions.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments, liaising with external agencies when necessary.
• Reconcile customer accounts, aged balances, and other control accounts on a regular basis.
• Support VAT and other compliance requirements by ensuring transactions are correctly recorded.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.

What you’ll need

• Experience in accounts receivable is preferred, though candidates with accounts payable or broader finance experience will also be considered.
• Familiarity with financial systems, ideally Unit4, or the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal empathetically with staff, and external contacts.
• Ability to work accurately, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of your tasks.
• Interest in process improvement and supporting wider finance activities.
