This role is part-time, working three days per week (0.6 FTE, with the salary pro rata’d accordingly), with one day in the office and the rest from home, providing both structure and flexibility.

In this Accounts Payable Officer position, you will: 

  • Take ownership of a rota of varied AP responsibilities, ensuring tasks are delivered accurately and on time.

  • Manage a high volume of invoices each day with efficiency and attention to detail.

  • Act as the first point of contact for the main AP inbox, dealing with supplier and stakeholder queries in a timely manner.

  • Partner with non-finance colleagues across the organisation, providing support and resolving queries effectively.

  • Carry out supplier statement reconciliations to maintain accurate records and smooth processes.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of five years’ experience in Accounts Payable.

  • Bring proven experience of handling invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, and resolving supplier queries.

  • Ideally have experience working within the charity or wider not-for-profit sector.

  • Be proactive, with strong decision-making skills and the confidence to manage a busy workload.

  • Possess excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
