Stuart Bell

Founder, CEO

As the Founder and CEO of Robertson Bell, Stuart leads the overall direction, vision and strategy of the business as well as being responsible for all facets of day to day operations. His passion is growing and expanding the business through our Academy model which takes people without prior experience and gives them all the tools in which to have a successful career in recruitment. Indeed, every Manager in Robertson Bell has been promoted from within. Stuart believes that by combining an outstanding internal culture with a relentless focus on quality of service, Robertson Bell will continue to grow in scale and reputation in all of our markets.

Jacqui Bell


Jacqui currently leads the talent management and training areas of the business.  Her industry experience is invaluable having held senior operational and talent development positions in two global recruitment brands.  Whether she is training a new recruit or helping a senior member of the team set their personal goals, her passion and enthusiasm is infectious.

Jacqui juggles a busy work schedule with being a mum and has recently completed her first triathlon.

Matt Millar


Matt leads Robertson Bell permanent recruitment projects for corporate services, Finance, Procurement and HR for the not for profit and public sector. His consistently high standards, incredible knowledge of these sectors and enthusiastic approach enable him to be a highly efficient and successful manager, popular with clients, candidates and of course his team. He has, and continues to build strong relationships through consistent delivery, with a lot of the work his team do, coming from recommendations of his approach and previous successes. 

Matt joined the Robertson Bell team in July 2014 after graduating from Northampton University with a joint honours in Law and Events Management. Matt loves films and is the office film fanatic, he can often be found in the cinema for the latest movie premiers or socialising with friends in his spare time.

Harry Peasnell

Senior Manager

Harry leads the Robertson Bell interim and permanent recruitment team for corporate services projects in Finance, Procurement and HR.  His sharp focus, dynamic attitude and strong track record of delivery has allowed him to build a robust network of clients across the not for profit and public sector.  Harry has a tenacious, enthusiastic, yet consultative approach to recruitment and his high standards enable him to be a highly efficient and successful manager of the division, team and projects. 

Harry graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2013 with a BSC honours in Sport and Exercise Sciences. As a Ski/Snowboard enthusiast he had the opportunity to work in French Alps as a Seasonaire before joining the Robertson Bell team in 2014. He is a keen and passionate all-round sportsman, often found in the gym most mornings and on the golf course most weekends.

Yasmin Aslam

Senior Operations Manager

Yasmin works as our Senior Operations Manager leading on all non-sales functions of the business. After joining the business in 2014 as a Junior Recruitment Consultant, Yasmin went on to create our academy training program and implement our internal recruitment structures.  Five years on Yasmin is now responsible for leading on the strategy across Internal Recruitment, L&D, Marketing, Legal, Finance & HR to name just a few! Yasmin’s enthusiastic, positive and caring nature have seen her develop many long term friendships with members of the team!

Outside of work Yasmin is a sucker for a long haul holiday in the sunshine and partial to a visit to Oxford Street. As the eldest of five girls she often has her hands full with big sister duties!

Michael Swinburn

Business Manager

Michael is focused on placing permanent and interim Senior Finance appointments within the largest Education establishments, Government departments and Non-departmental Public Bodies. He has a strong reputation within the industry and is well respected by CEO’s, Finance Directors and senior HR professionals alike. His approach is thorough, rigorous and consultative.

Mike is a keen all-round sportsman, enjoys theatre and music festivals and recently became a proud Dad!

Kate Marriott

Business Manager

Kate works with Executive and Senior Finance professionals for leading UK and International charities to find exceptional candidates to join their own teams and to help them identify the best next step in their own career. Kate successfully works with candidates from both not for profit and commercial backgrounds to find roles and organisations that can develop and value their skillsets, often assisting them through a move between sectors. Collaborating at all levels, she has excellent research and head-hunting capabilities and has steadily built a trusted reputation amongst senior professionals in the sector.

Before joining Roberson Bell, Kate graduated from the University of Nottingham with a MA in International Security and Terrorism. Kate is a good all-round sports woman, often challenging other consultants to a game of tennis (and winning!).

Mark Pryor


Mark currently works with not for profit and public sector organisations looking to expand their finance teams.  Marks enthusiastic and positive personality combined with his excellent communication skills and knowledge of the sector have enabled him to build strong relationships with clients and candidates.

A popular and well respected member of the RB team, Mark graduated from the Robertson Bell Academy in 2016 after playing professional football for Kettering Town for 3 yrs.  When he’s not supporting Leicester City, he’ll be in the gym, playing football or walking his mischievous dog Denzel.

Andrew Burnage

Business Manager

Andy joined Robertson Bell in 2016 as a fresh faced teenager with not much more than a bag of ambition. After graduating from the RB academy it didn’t take long for Andy to make a real impact to our business, working tirelessly day in and out to develop our name in the market. Andy is well known both internally and by our clients for providing an exceptional level of service to those who he works with. In his day to day you’ll find Andy working with some of the largest government organisation in the country, his focus is to ensure our clients are continuously supplied with top tier talent for their teams.

His stellar reputation and great sense of humour have led him to become one of the most popular employees in the Robertson Bell team. In his spare time you’ll find Andy paying attention to all the things he’s passionate about, his family, his car & and his rather odd obsession with Christmas!

Lesley Botterill

Head of Fundraising Recruitment

Lesley’s generous personality makes her ideally placed to head up Robertson Bell’s specialist fundraising recruitment team. She has built up a strong network within the Charity and not for profit sector and with such a wealth of experience and a broad network of candidates and contacts, she offers perspective and understanding of requirements that roles within this area demand.

Lesley is an avid animal lover and enjoys walking her rescue dog Beau and Chihuahua Roxy. Lesley’s children are heavily involved in performing arts and gymnastics which comprises lots of travel and occupies much of her spare time.

Alex Dovaston

Head of Business Operations and Sales Support

As Head of Business Operations and Sales Support, Alex fulfils Robertson Bell’s customer service objective of ensuring that candidates experience a seamless transition into a new role and that our clients are provided with efficient and effective administrational support and guidance throughout the recruitment process through credit control, invoicing, candidate compliance, the payroll process and human resources.

As a busy Mum of two, in her free time Alex enjoys Zumba, running and walking her Jack Russell Terrier, Chip. Her parents have retired to Tobago so Alex, and her family, are lucky enough to visit there each year.
