Are you an aspiring Head of Finance seeking a new role within a large-scale organisation? Want to be involved with key business decisions and lead on long term financial planning? Could you motivate a multidisciplinary team, overseeing procurement as well as finance? If yes, this could be your next role!

Robertson Bell is partnering with this leading membership organisation whilst they recruit for this number one role within the finance department. With three direct reports, you will be accountable to the Director of Corporate Services and will have full responsibility for the finance and procurement teams. Duties will include:

  • Ownership of the finance departments budget and oversee the risk register.
  • Oversee all financial operations including financial reporting and accounting, financial management, financial control, financial planning and analysis and all aspects of treasury.
  • Lead on the development of finance policies and roll out any necessary changes across the wider organisation.
  • Manage the production of the annual accounts and support the Director of Corporate Services with the development of the finance strategy.
  • Be fully responsible for the annual budget setting and drive value for money efficiencies.
  • Assist budget holders with the evaluation of business cases and oversee treasury management including cash flow.
  • Ensure external and internal audit recommendations are rolled out efficiently.

This would be the perfect opportunity for someone with proven experience in a number one finance role or would suit a strong number two now looking for a step up. This permanent and full time Head of Finance would initially be based from home but candidates need to live a commutable distance from the organisations head office near Vauxhall. The successful candidate will:

  • Havea CCAB finance qualification.
  • Have proven experience operating at a number one or two level within finance.
  • Be able to establish solid relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have staff management experience, ideally across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Have previous experience within a regulatory setting or within a membership organisation.
