Robertson Bell Finance are proud to be partnering with an award-winning Education & Training provider in their search for a Financial Controller. This £30million T.O organisation based in the West Hertfordshire area are going through a period of change and growth with this role seen as pivotal in implementing this change and driving the organisation forward over the next few years.
Reporting into the Director of Finance & Resources this role is responsible for providing an effective financial service, manage the workload of the finance team and leading a system implementation and upgrade. Specific responsibilities include:
*Lead on the preparation statutory of accounts in accordance with IFRS/Charities SORP. Liaise with auditors to ensure they are approved within the deadline.
*Provision of the monthly Management Accounts.
*Leading on the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting exercises.
*Work across the business to provide detailed and accurate management information to stakeholders and board to allow for effective decision making and the smooth running of the business.
*Lead a multi-disciplinary team of circa 6.
*Deputise for the Finance Director when necessary.
This is a fantastic development opportunity that will give you organisational wide exposure in a transforming environment with the successful candidate ideally stepping into the Director of Finance position in circa. 3 years.
In applying for this position, you will be a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with first time passes and a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. It is essential you will have experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS or IFRS with those having produced this under Charities SORP would be highly recommended. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be will have managed a small team previously.
