Assistant Finance Business Partner

My client is a nationwide £1bn turnover organisation based in London looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join their growing business partnering team in a role filled with excellent development potential.

The main responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Liaise closely with senior stakeholders, up to director-level, throughout the organisation, reviewing their finances with them and discussing any variances there may be.
• Lead in the production of management accounts for your allocated business areas.
• Play a key role in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, leading on the analysis of any variances there are between the two.
• Act as the finance lead for numerous ongoing projects throughout the organisation, which includes preparing financial reports and analysing financial metrics.

The successful candidate for the Assistant Finance Business Partner role will have:

• Part-qualified as an accountant and be actively studying towards completing their qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
• Experience of working within a management accountancy-based role and at the very least assisting on the preparation of accounts.
• Previous experience of explaining any form of financial information to non-finance members of staff e.g. what an accrual is.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).
