Robertson Bell is pleased to once again be partnering with a FTSE 100 listed property developer, based in Epsom, who are seeking a permanent Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will focus on providing valuable support to the project accounting team, where the successful candidate will have exposure not only to all aspects of project accounting, but will also work closely with a number of departments around the organisation.

The main responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:

  •  Assist with the monthly cash flow forecasts and complete reviews on actual performance, identifying any discrepancies to help drive efficiencies.
  • Support the Management Accountants and Finance Manager with detailed financial models and analysis by gathering and entering data, ultimately helping to aid the strategic decision making.
  • Responsible for monthly reviews of costs for a large number of sites, including sales positions, development expenditures, movement analysis and more.
  • Liaising with a range of departments across the organisation to ensure the cost coding and reporting is completed to the highest level of accuracy.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Either a Finance and/or Accounting degree or actively studying towards and accounting qualification.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Finance / Commercial role.
  • An ability to handle large data sets.
  • An eagerness to learn, be a proactive self-starter and passionate about shaping their finance career.
  • An excellent communicator and strong team-player.
