I am assisting a prestigious Further Educational institution in their search for an Interim Finance Manager to join their vibrant team throughout the year-end process. Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a 3-month contract based in Central London with the potential for extension.
Key accountabilities include:
*Producing the statutory accounts and supporting documentation for the annual audit, including liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with the relevant charitable and financial legislation.
*Producing financial forecasts and incorporating the results into financial reports, such as the cash flow.
*Being responsible for month-end preparation and reporting and providing the relevant analysis and commentary on management accounts.
*Regularly liaising with budget holders and producing budgets.
The ideal candidate will be from a Higher Education background with charity accounting experience (SORP/IFRS) and either qualified by experience, actively studying or a fully qualified accountant (CCAB/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
