The investment and information sharing across the finance team allows every team member to grow personally and professionally and WaterAid are looking for a Head of Management Accounting to join their already strong finance team.
The Head of Management Accounting will sit within the Corporate and UK Finance Team and will engage across the UK and International business to lead the management accounting function. This is a newly created position and will drive improvements across budgeting, forecasting and reporting and play a key role in driving a close relationship between finance and the wider business.
Key responsibilities include:
*Providing analysis for executive and directorate leadership teams, providing financial insight to support decision making
*Analysing financial data, using this to effectively advise senior stakeholders in Communications and Fundraising, playing an active role in the development of departmental strategy
*Leading on financial planning, forecasting and reporting for WaterAid.
*Produce multi-year budgets to support operational plans and strategies
*Analyse trends across regions, departments and directorates, using this analysis to support decision making at a senior level
*Optimising planning, forecasting and reporting systems, working with both finance and non-finance staff to implement improvements
*Driving a culture of good management reporting, encouraging strong relationships between finance and the wider organisation
*Manage a high performing team, supporting professional development.
This position would suit a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or ACCA) who has proven experience working strategically, utilising financial information to support decision making. With good team management experience, the successful candidate will be able to operate commercially, and will be able to encourage this mindset in the management accounting team. With excellent interpersonal skills, the Head of Management Accounting will be able to build relationships at all levels, both in the UK office and across international teams.
