Civil Service HR (CSHR) is committed to building the capability and skills of the Civil Service. CSHR plays an important role in the smooth-running of Government and has a key role to play in supporting departments to build the Civil Service we need to meet the challenges ahead of us. You will lead a
high performing team, supporting senior colleagues from across the CSHR to manage their programme and business as usual activity within tightly constrained and complex budgets.
As the Finance Business Partner for CSHR, the jobholder will have overall responsibility to lead and support the team which delivers high volume transactional work and analysis across a complex business based between London and Newcastle.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) who has strong business partnering experience, able to build credibility and influence at all levels. The role will require an individual with a passion for delivering change and the personality to lead and influence people throughout the department. You will be the visible lead in the organisation therefore require credibility and professional expertise to help support the department, while demonstrating significant technical experience of delivering wide-ranging regulatory guidance and solutions in a commercial environment.
National: £43,039 – £56,524 London: £48,965 – £60,635 – The role will also attract an Accountancy Allowance of £5,000 for fully qualified applicant.
Please note that this role requires SC clearance, which would normally require 5 years’ UK residency in the past 5 years. This is not an absolute requirement, but supplementary checks may be required where individuals have not lived in the UK for the required period. This may mean that your security clearance (and therefore your appointment) will take longer or, in some cases, not be possible.
